The Empire State of the South, Georgia

The state of Georgia was one of the original thirteen colonies and was the fourth state in the United States. Although the majority of the state’s total 59,441 square miles is covered in coastal plain, the state also features a piedmont region centrally and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the far west.
